Project Caradhras - Legolas Photogrammetry

The result of the scanning process for the figures I had around. Pretty tricky, with the bow, and the results were not perfect, as we can see some artifacts in around his hands and cape. But good enough for the project!

The one for Legolas is special to me. I didn't like his expression at the time, because he looks like he is way too proud of himself. However, I get the notion the artist was going for, I believe. Legolas is an Elf. He will live forever, and he is faster, stronger and wiser than most creatures he will ever encounter in Middle Earth, sans other Elves. But here he is risking his life for real, and while he does so for honorable goals, he is just having fun and enjoying the ride. And really, what else can you expect from an old man with olympic skills than to enjoy his time around?

Props to Mauro Santini, who sculpted this awesome figures for Weta Workshop. I want to keep the viewer in mind that this is a photogrammetry scan with imperfections and not the original model.

Figure in RealityScan.

What a face.

The pose wasn't the best for the project, but it's still very cool.
