The result of the scanning process of this awesome figure or Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Proper naming in here. This one came with some imperfections, but first and foremost, note to self: Clean up your models in your shelf before scanning them.
Aragorn is one that was tricky because of the little details on his figurine: the sword and the hands pose. Small parts on the overall statue, which leads to the space in the photos grabbing only a limited area. Which in turn makes it harder to properly scan. Besides, both hands and sword are close to the body, so it made it extra tricky to get the proper angles on the scan.
Proper flash settings and polarizers made it work pretty well in the Void, but I couldnt help but have some of the artifacts show up. However, for the purposes of the Caradhras project, it was fine. Like Aragorn in his role as King, I had to eventually accept the situation and keep it up as part of the setting.
Props to Mauro Santini, who sculpted this awesome figures for Weta Workshop. I want to keep the viewer in mind that this is a photogrammetry scan with imperfections and not the original model.
